A great feature of this superb apartment which is always enthusiastically commented on by our guests, is the very large wrap around terrace which can be accessed from the lounge, dining area and the master bedroom and offers an outstanding sea view. Within 5 minutes walk of the apartment you will find a mini-market and bar/restaurants all of which we can highly recommend. Walking a little further on (3 minute drive) will bring you to the ‘Strip’ well known in Calahonda for its wide choice of restaurants, which cater for literally all tastes, including Swiss! Around the corner from the Strip is the El Zoco Centre where you will find a further choice of wonderful restaurants set in a lovely pedestranised area. In addition you will find gift shops, banks, newsagents, pharmacy etc and one of 3 large supermarkets, which will cater for all your needs. Opposite the El Zoco, just across the coastal road, there is the Dona Lola Complex where yet again you will find a further choice of good bars and restaurants to choose from.

Calahonda has its own marina called Cabopino (5 minutes away,) which has the reputation for being the most secluded and picturesque marina on the Costa del Sol. It has a superb sandy beach with bars and restaurants that have barbecue areas where freshly caught fish are cooked as a speciality. The marina is host to many lovely and well known reputable restaurants, Albert’s is highly recommended for a special night out! 5 minutes in the opposite direction, brings you to the typically spanish resort of La Cala, which also boasts a lovely clean sandy beach with beach bars, water sports and a good selection of lovely restaurants set amongst the white washed backstreets of this charming resort.

Calahonda is very popular with golf fans, as the region has one of Europe’s highest concentrations of first-rate golf courses, a total of 10 golf courses can be found within a 10-kilometre radius of the area alone, four around Calahonda itself. A total of 40 courses, including World-class courses, can be reached within 40 minutes!
There are too many golf courses to mention, but it is fair to say the nearest course of La Siesta can be reached within 2 minutes of the apartment and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation has confirmed that the La Cala Resort (only 15 minutes from the apartment), is the biggest golf complex in Spain. La Cala has three 18-hole championship courses and a top quality 6-hole par 3 layout making it the largest golf resort in the country. A further 10 excellent courses can also be found within a 10km radius of the apartment. |

Another popular sport on this coast due to its favourable climate. Many of the top hotels have courts for hire and there are numerous clubs to be found. One of the best clubs is the Tennis Club Del Sol only 2 minutes from the apartment and set in lovely landscaped gardens. This club also has a large air-conditioned gym, sauna and squash courts. Can be found in abundance at all of the resorts along the coast and include sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skis, pedaloes and the good old ‘Banana’ boats. For those of you wanting to experience something a little different then Cable Ski might be for you. Cable Ski Marbella is set on a huge lake in Guadalmina, this attraction is either for those wanting to learn or improve their water skiing, or just for those who want a fun day out. The cable system pulls skiers around the lake. Each trip around the lake lasts about one minute but the cable can be set at a speed to suit your ability. Slow for children and beginners and faster for the expert skier. There is a cafe bar, restaurant, sun loungers, swimming pool and ski shop. A great place to have a day out!!

HORSE RACING |

Horse riding in the hills behind La Cala is a must if you enjoy this activity but if your interest in horses is strictly as a spectator, then the Hippodrome may well be for you. Recently built, the "Hippodrome del Costa del Sol" is just on the outskirts of La Cala (10 minutes from the apartment) and makes for a great family night out. The new racetrack is one of the best in Spain. Apart from traditional horse racing, there is live music on Friday and Saturday nights
