The apartment, La Gavina, is situated in an idyllic Mediterranean cove, a paradise for swimming, diving, and snorkelling or just relaxing on one of the small secluded beaches. La Gavina is a top floor apartment (2nd floor) and has magnificent unrestricted views across the bay. You will fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks below and with a view of the green harbour light flashing at the end of the breakwater across the bay in Collioure Port. An access door to the beach makes possible an early morning swim before breakfast, or an evening dip before dinner on the terrace. The apartment is 7 minutes walk to the centre of Collioure where you will be spoilt for choice with the vast range of restaurants, cafes and art galleries, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. An afternoon stroll through the vineyards offers the reward of the most magnificent panoramas of the Cote Vermeille, returning via Port Vendres (7 mins from La Gavina) the home of the famous fish market.

The apartment is set up as a home for our guests with all the luxuries you would expect in a home: top of the range Denon hi-fi, a fully equipped kitchen with magi mix, microwave combination oven, chefs knives, pans and cooking implements, Denby crockery and Viners cutlery. You will be home from home in one of the most beautiful settings you could ever imagine. The sleeping accommodation is flexible with a double bedded room, a high bunk and a single bed which converts to a double in room 2 and a high quality bed settee in the living room which many groups use as a dedicated 3rd bedroom. The dining area to the end of the kitchen is generally used as an evening retreat over a glass of wine in place of the living room.

Colioure, the 'jewel of the Cote Vermeille' is a beautiful,ancient and atmospheric town built around the medieval castle and port. Picasso, Matisse and Derain painted here. Visits to art galleries and local vineyards are favourites with our guests.We recommend a stroll around the harbour at Port Vendres and a day out on the traditional sailing schooner including barbecue lunch and a swim in a secluded Spanish cove. Nearby includes:Cathar Castles, Dali Museum at Figueres,Cadaques,Girona,Barcelona

Two week rentals or more benefit from a 50 euros reduction. A deposit of 200 euros per week is required on reservation and the full amount to be paid 8 weeks prior to the rental start date. Additionally, a refundable breakages deposit of 200 euros per week must be paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday. Change overday negotiable.
It was a privilege to stay in your beautifully equipped apartment. We have spent hours just sat at the table gazing at the incredible view. A swim before breakfast is a must, but the children couldn't wait to get back down to the beach. It has been our best family holiday ever. Thank you Sheila and John.
