The villa is set on a hill side overlooking an orange grove with a view of the distant sea, and beside the great Sierra Cabrera mountain range. Turre (4 kms) is the local village with a modern supermarket and family run restaurants serving superb Spanish dishes. Mojacar is a large village poised on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in its tiny twisting streets. Garrucha is a fishing port where the daily catch arrives to be sold in the local fish market. Fresh sea food can be obtained in many excellent restaurants along the sea front overlooking the port.

Cortijo Grande Valley is situated in the province of Almeria. It is a two hour easy drive on the N340 motor way from Alicante or 45 minutes from Almeria., the two main airports. Murcia is also only 45 minutes from the villa. Once a farming estate, Cortijo Grande has been turned into a nine-hole golf course still abundant with oranges, lemons, grapes & figs. Other facilities include bars, restaurants and above the valley in the Sierra Cabrera mountains it is possible to bowl, horse ride or for those who wish to explore there is simple trekking.
