Down a small road outside the village on the road to Vassillis you will come across 'Villa Iannis' located in its own secluded grounds complete with swimming pool and gardens. The villa is both an ideal family holiday home or a 'get away from it all’ retreat! The villa is surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees. On the lower floor there is a 'granny annexe' (ideal for children !) with a large double bedroom, fully fitted bathroom and its own living/dining area. Up the stairs to the ground floor and you will find another fully fitted double bedroom with en-suite bathroom + shower. There is a separate WC on this level. On the first floor there is the living and dining areas with a balcony to give amazing view across Souda bay, Almirida and, to the rear, the white mountains. The villa is fully air conditioned. Location
Almirida is a small village ( fishing ) lying on the eastern coast of Souda Bay approx. 20 minutes from the ancient town of Chania. The surrounding area with its picturesque villages, beautiful beaches and historical sites makes this one of the most worthwhile areas on the Island of Crete. The village has developed over the last eight years but, nevertheless, still remains unspoilt. Due to the closeness to Chania, this property makes an ideal base for those wishing to visit this beautiful area.

Port of Ferry to Mainland is away.

The prices shown above are per villa - per week and they are not per person. The maximum number of persons to be accommodated in any booking is - 6 but the ideal number is - 4. All the above prices include twice weekly maid service and laundry service for towels and bed linen. We provide a free welcome basket and the free use of all amenities both in the grounds and in the house. Our prices shown are inclusive of usage of air conditioning or heating and all prices shown are inclusive of local taxes. There is an additional charge of £10.00 per person,PER BOOKING for transport to and from Chania airport for those guests who have not booked car hire. Prices shown are per villa per week. Car hire and any other services provided ( including tours ) must be paid locally to our staff. All bookings, payments and deposits should be made via the internet and internet banking. Provisional bookings may be made upon request and they will be held for 14 days. Change overday Tuesday.
The Sea-Side village of Almirida is very close to Chania (Hania)
THE LOCALITY:
Take a short stroll out of Almirida on the road to Plaka and, once out of the village, you will arrive at the olive groves. A short walk down the road brings you to the junction with the road to Vassillis - here you will find 'Villa Iannis' in its own secluded grounds and set back from the road. Western Crete has more capacity to astound visitors than any other part of the island. Almirida is an ideal location for either exploration and walking, or, a relaxed holiday. Chania is only a few minutes drive away and here you must visit the shops, the ancient harbour ( with its waterside tavernas ) and the venetian styled old town area. The villa is only a short drive away from Samaria gorge, lake Kournas and many Minoan and venetian ruins and sites. This part of Crete is just waiting to be explored.
THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND........CRETE:
The area in which Villa Iannis is situated is the most beautiful part of Western Crete. Here you will find hundreds of sandy beaches and coves. There are Minoan and Venetian ruins just waiting to be explored. One day why not drive to the southern coastline and have lunch in a waterside fish restaurant in the village of Palaiochora. On the way you will pass through the White Mountains with their quaint villages and hamlets - why not stop for a drink ? The entrance to the Samaria Gorge is only 30 minutes away ( for the more athletic of you ! ) There is a water park on the Akrotiri Peninsula in addition to the famous ZORBAS BEACH at Stavros ( here they filmed 'Zorba the Greek'
