Helston Coverack England Vacation Rentals by Holiday.com
Quietly situated on a no through road, Little Treleaver Farm is a 12 acre smallholding. 1.5 miles inland from Coverack, a small fishing village with waters ports facilities. The sandy beach at low water has many rock pools and offers safe bathing. Located in a courtyard setting, with large farmhouse, small cottage and games room on three sides of the quadrangle. Each property has a large flat private lawned area and garden on the aspect away from the courtyard. This area of the Lizard Peninsula has a 'micro climate' - having sea on three sides. It gets significantly more sunshine than inland areas of Cornwall. It is the most southerly area of Britain. Our aim is to achieve repeat business, therefore we try to provide reasonably priced accommodation with good facilities in one of the better areas of Cornwall. We are close to the Cornish coastpath with excellent coastal walks 20 mins away by foot. Pubs, shops and places to eat within 2miles: Coverack (1.5miles) and St.Keverne (2miles).

The Cornish coastal path is 1mile away giving spectacular views of the Manacle rocks, Lizard Peninsula and Falmouth Bay. The Helford River area is excellent for walking and cycling, and a limited bus service is available. At Coverack(1mile), there is a sandy beach and rock pools at low water, you can hire windsurfers, surf skis, and they provide lessons. There are three restaurants, an ice cream parlour, a pub, and small shop. Within a mile there is Roskillys famous ice cream tourist farm-licensed restaurant, cows can be seen being milked there. This is a really good location for people who like the countryside. The nearest beach is twenty five minutes on foot and we call it the 'rope beach' as there is a rope you have to hang on to as you climb down the hill to get to it! -Superb sandy beach and bathing at low water. This area of Cornwall does not get too packed with tourists.

Flambards theme park is a major Cornish attractions with a rollercoaster, and many other rides, and is 10 miles away in Helston. 3 miles away is Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station, the biggest of its kind in the world. Locally
The land around the farm is flat, making it ideal for cycling, although cycling over to the Helford River and Gillan Creek requires some stamina. We will provide Ordenance Survey Maps and some bikes for you. 200m up the quiet no through road is a woodland walk, ideal for dog walking or an evening stroll. The Lizard Peninsula has several wonderful beaches and walks inland and along the coast path, wildlife and spectacular scenery. A good walk is around the Lizard Lighthouse: parking the car at Lizard village, and walking out to the coast, round past the lighthouse and back to the car. Better still, from the property walking/cycling/taking the car to Treleaver farm, walking round on the coast path to Lankidden and back home again. You can fish from the harbour in Coverack, and there is a shop there where you can buy the things that you may need. Sailing lessons are available on the Helford River.
Locally
Places reasonably priced to eat out in Coverack include the Lifeboat House (also providing take-away Fish and Chips), the Harbour Lights and the Paris Hotel, and in St.Keverne, the White Hart Inn and The Three Tuns. There are paintings by local artists on sale in one of the gift shops in the village and 'Brenda's' a small general store (totally recommended). There are 2 large, safe sandy beaches at Kennack Sands, with areas suitable for swimming and surfing, which can be reached either on foot down farm lanes from the property (2miles) or the long way round by car. The nearest beach is Lankidden, only visible at low water. It is very small, sheltered and secluded and is reached by a very steep coastal path - only suitable for the fit and athletic amongst you, but a challenge and a real triumph when you get there, especially for children - 25 minutes on foot from our house.
