Location
San Jose is in Spain's sunniest province. You will be dazzled by its natural beauty, the colours of the sunset, the rich rock formations but most of all the desolate wide open spaces. Least of the travelled of the major regions it offers some of the most rugged and spectacular countryside in Spain. This peaceful, stress free oasis makes it among the most welcoming holiday destinations, so far mainly discovered only by Spanish tourists. La Loma is located a short distance to two of the finest beaches in Cabo de Gata. Playa de los Genoveses and Playa de Monsul. Genoveses has shallow waters and plenty of shade ideal for those with younger children. Monsul is a smaller beach backed by volcanic rocks that in plunge into the turquoise waters. San Jose is a small delightful settlement around a bay. The facilities cluster around the centre with an excellent selection of family run restaurants and bars offering Mediterranean cuisine with a prolific supply of fish and paella.
Major airport is Almeria Airport 30 km away.
Car use is recommended.
