The nice recently built holiday villa complex is called les Mas de Vertmarines at ST JEAN DE MONTS. Only 1300m from the famous long, sandy beach and set amongst the sand dunes and really close to the excellent pine forest with footpaths and cycle tracks, this complex of various sized holiday villas, has two heated swimming pools (one open 22/5 to 15/9), a children's club (approx. 16/6 to end August), a reception and laundry, and bike hire can be organised. All the villas are in groups of adjoining villas but each has a private outside courtyard area with table and chairs. There are numbered separate parking spaces, as the complex is semi-pedestrianised. There are shops at approx 500metres.

Note:
For the 6 person sized villa, there is one bedroom downstairs and a further bedroom upstairs and a mezzanine area bedroom. The bathroom has a flexible shower hose fitment from the bath. Some of the larger villas have a second shower room and/or a second toilet aswell. There are sheets and/or towels, french tv, high chair and cot available for hire, maid services too. Location
St Jean de Monts, Vendee, is famous for its long sandy beach and popular beach front with shops and cafes and restaurants, an excellent golf course and many footpaths and cycle tracks in the preserved National forest. Major airport is Nantes, La Rochelle, Dinard away.
Port of St Malo is 100 away.

45 euros off any second and further weeks booked. Special offers : 3 weeks for the price of 2 (up to 17/7 and after 21/8). 20% off a 2week holiday 3/7-17/7/4. Plus any arrival day and length of stay outside july and august. Tourist tax is obligatory - cot/highchair/linen/french tv can be ordered as extras and payable at reception. Hotel service option : Sheets, towels, TV, beds made up on arrival, final clean (except kitchen and washing up). Change of linen after 1 weeks stay cost 150 euros. Breakfast (ordered well in advance) 6 euros per person. A welcome food pack can be yours, awaiting your arrival in your villa, price 25 euros for 4 persons and 50 euros for 8 persons. The hamper must be reserved as soon as possible, or at least 2 weeks before your arrival. It is payable as an extra on your arrival. It will include food for a sandwich for the evening and french breakfast for the morning, so you can have a lie in on your first day before the supermarket. Change overday negotiable.

There are numbered separate parking spaces as the complex is pedestrianised. There are approx 280 villas in this complex. The villas are in groups of 4 and 6 and 8 villas. The site is approx 4.5 hectares and has an exit where you can walk to the forest or a walk to the beach is 1300metres from reception. I will give you a code to collect your key from a special collection box, if you arrive after reception has closed. This can be useful as it means you can arrive on a Sunday morning for example, if you want to avoid the traffic on Saturdays.

The golf, shops, bars, restaurants and sporting amenities of St Jean de Monts are all nearby. Try your hand at the sand yachting or watersports near the golf course. Excellent bike rides through the forest too.
Arrival details, tourist tax,security/cleaning dep
Arrival days are normally from Saturday 16h/4pm to Saturday 10h/10am, but you may book per night outside July and August and arrive any day. There is a security AND CLEANING deposit taken at reception of 230 euros which is given on arrival by credit card.

Dear Claire - Just returned from holiday and Please Please can I provisionally book a 6 person villa at Les Mas for the same period in 2003. Had a great holiday thanks - accomodation execllent - We had an excellent holiday and thoroughly enjoyed St Jean de Monts and the accommodation. The apartment was excellent and the complex well managed and friendly. Generally, we found this part of the world relaxing, inviting and easy to get to - We had a great holiday and the Gite, and location, was very good. The level of service was excellent. We have no complaints! Hi Claire We have just returned after a great trip to the region. Our house in Les Mas was excellent. Just what we were looking for. I would highly recommend this residence to anyone. In any case, I would highly recommend your website to friends and once again thank you for your help in selecting a suitable house.
