Winter sports enthusiasts will find ski slopes for all levels plus nursery slopes and cross-country skiing tracks; there is snow boarding heli-skiing, monoskiing and paragliding. Non-skiers may try racquets, ice-skating or dog-sleighing. Spring, summer and autumn are ideal seasons for mountain walking, climbing, paragliding, horse riding, cycling, canoeing, rafting, tennis and swimming. Also, Verchaix is the perfect starting point for excursions to e.g. Chamonix (Mont Blanc), Annecy, Yvoire, Evian or Thonon and, in Switzerland to Geneva, Lausanne, Gruyère or Montreaux.
